Electric
pop noise band hailing from Erie, Pennsylvania mixing feedback,
psychedelic sounds and sugary melodies for a splattered and messy
mix of sound and fury representing absolutely nothing.
The band which is gently guided by the iron fist of John Johnston,
originated in a basement in 1999. amongst the washer, the dryer
and Johns’ collection of my little ponies, developed the sound
which we hear today.
Carrying on the pop tradition of bands such as beat happening, Nick
Lowe, Blondie and of course the Velvet Underground, the telefonics
wallow in near obscurity. Catering to their elitist fanbase consisting
of ham radio operators, starving artists and retired rail yard bulls,
they continue to please, please, please.
Gina - (singer, Theremin, revealing undergarments)
John - (guitar, keyboards, vocals, S&M)
Pete - (guitar, muscle, good looks)
Fred - (bass, herbal tea and tools)
Zac - (drums, teen idol, homework)
Josh - (cynicism and Farfisa organ)
See this band, you will at very least, be amused. |
