Art Voice--Buffalo New York

Erie, PA's Telefonics, like Johnson Big band, are also a sort of interesting art project. This five piece (girl singer and four guys) takes a lo-fi approach and uses simple arrangements, pretty melodies, non-sequitor lyrics and most importantly strange keyboard noises for a cosmic sonic collage.
Their Colour Delux sounds a bit like Belle and Sebastian going into spacerock mode. Telefonics features the former drummer of late Buffalo rockers Chesterfield.
